I'm Backsliding!

Thanks to the devotion I've shown another work in progress (which happens to be the prequel to "Connections"), my plugging on Authonomy fell to the wayside, as did the upward ascent of "Connections" on that site.

I peaked at #27, but now I've slid back to #32. Ugh.

I keep trying to find time to write, to plug, and to do my "real life" stuff. Things are really hoppin'!

It Makes Me Happy

I love getting my comments in on "Connections".

Of course, it doesn't hurt that they're mostly positive. Even some of the so-called "negative" comments can make me smile, because I see where I can steer something back on track, if several people see the same thing is wrong, or just doesn't "read well".

The fact I was one of the "HC 12" on Authonomy.com is another positive thing. Someone, somewhere, saw something in my work that they thought would be of interest to others. As yet, however, I've not had any further feedback from that neck of the woods.

Still, I'm hopeful. And happy. Cool!

Welcome one and all! This is a new blog for me to work on, devoted to my novella-in-progress, "Connections", as featured on Authonomy.com!

At the time of this writing, "Connections" is ranking thusly:
#32 on the Editor's Desk ranking for the week.
#14 for all genres on the weekly chart.
#14 for Fiction on the weekly chart.
#6 for the Literary Fiction weekly chart.
and
#3 for the Romance weekly chart.

Needless to say, I'm quite pleased.

This blog will focus on the story, giving extra info, Italian lessons, and anything else that might be of note for folks interested in this story. One day soon I'll do a proper site for story, as well.

Yeah, it's all a bit slap-dash at the moment - but it'll be ironed out in time.
